2019 was challenging on many fronts. Hampshire faced what seemed like insurmountable odds, but thanks to incredible work by many, we have managed to reclaim our independence and we’re now working on a renewed vision and educational model. Much has changed, but Hampshire students continue to amaze us with their resilience, commitment, originality and persistence. We’re all adapting, and because it’s Hampshire, we’re making it a point to learn as we evolve.

The Culture, Brain & Development program also weathered this serious challenge, and even with reduced staffing and budget, we’ve maintained our programming and provided much-needed student supports. We continue to offer our weekly student talks, grants to faculty and other campus programs for academic programs and courses, special events, and of course, our Student Research Grants, which you can read about below.

We're grateful to everyone who has helped Hampshire—and our program—make it through this difficult transition. We look forward to continuing this work with you, and seeing what the future holds for all of us.
