CBHA 4th Annual Mental Health First Aid Summit
Navigating the 2.0 Galaxy - September 23, 2021 (Virtually)

CBHA is proud to host our 4th Annual Mental Health First Aid Summit: Navigating the 2.0 Galaxy on September 23rd, 2021, from 9:00 AM - 1:30 PM PST. 
 
CBHA is excited to announce that the summit will now be free of charge, thanks to our sponsor, Kaiser Permanente! We will be welcoming back speakers from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, the California Department of Education, national trainers, and other behavioral health leaders. Participants will learn about the latest MHFA updates and trainings, grant opportunities, current legislation, and how they can improve outreach and access to behavioral health resources for those who need services. MHFA 2021 Virtual Summit Speaker Lineup
Le Ondra Clark Harvey Ph.D. is a psychologist and the Chief Executive Officer of the California Council of Community Behavioral Health Agencies a statewide advocacy organization representing mental health and substance use disorder non-profit agencies that collectively serve over 750 thousand Californians annually. She is also the Executive Director of the California Access Coalition- a group of advocacy organizations and pharmaceutical industry companies that advocates for patient access to behavioral health treatment.
Yener Balan Ph.D is the Vice President of Behavioral Health and Specialty Services for Kaiser Permanente and serves on the Board of Directors for HealthRIGHT 360. Kaiser Permanente is the lead sponsor of CBHA's Mental Health First Aid Summit for the second year in a row!
Tramaine EL Amin, is the Assistant Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. In this role, she provides oversight of corporate and community business development and leads strategic initiatives for Mental Health First Aid USA as well as process improvement and tactical planning activities for a variety of National Council public education and workforce development initiatives. 
Monica Nepomuceno, MSW, is an Education Programs Consultant at the California Department of Education (CDE) in the School Health and Safety Office. In this capacity, Monica chairs the Student Mental Health Policy Workgroup (SMHPW), is the Project Cal-Well and Cal-STOP Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) Coordinator and a YMHFA Instructor.
Suzanne L Pearlman, (she/her) MA is the owner and principal consultant of de Pearl & Associates, LLC. and is a nationally recognized specialist in curriculum development, training programs, as well as a subject matter expert in cultural adaptations of standardized curricula with a focus on equity and access.
Gina Ehlert, M. Ed., is the Founder, President and Chief Learning Officer of GETrainingSolutions, and contracts with the National Council for Behavioral Health as a highly requested National Trainer of instructors and Corporate Trainer. She is concurrently employed as a Trainer by U.C. Davis Continuing and Professional Development for Human Services to provide training on topics like: effective communication, trauma informed care, supervision and leadership throughout California. 
Joseph Coffey retired from the Warwick, Rhode Island, Police Department in May 2016, where he last served as a Captain assigned to the Patrol Division. Captain Coffey established and led his department’s Mental Health Crisis Response Team, the first such team in Rhode Island. Prior to his twenty-year policing career, he worked nine years in Corrections, achieving the rank of Captain. 
James Kirk is a retired Detective Sergeant with the Tucson Police Department (TPD) and has been a career public safety professional. Jim is a Mental Health First Aid National Trainer for the National Council for Behavioral Health and a licensed Adult, Youth, Teen, Veteran, Public Safety, and Fire/EMS Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor.
Jenn Jevertson, M.S., is the CEO of Prevention at Play, LLC, a New Mexico-based consultancy committed to active and engaging methods to improve the well-being and resiliency of individuals and groups. She also is the Prevention Coordinator for the Office of Student Wellness at the Santa Fe Public Schools (SFPS).
Jess Clark is the Education and Prevention Manager for Solace Crisis Treatment Center in Santa Fe, NM and a consultant for Catharsis Productions in Chicago, IL. His work over the last decade has focused on increasing youth capacity to interrogate systems of oppression, exploring queer/trans masculinities as a site of violence prevention, and supporting organizations in better serving transgender communities through policies, best practices, and learning to be like his grandma.
