On November 23, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) and the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business released Sharing Prosperity: An Introduction to Building Relationships for Economic Reconciliation in Ontario. This document is an introductory resource, providing non-Indigenous organizations and businesses with an overview of opportunities to advance economic reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples in Ontario. This resource offers foundational knowledge and practical guidance on fostering mutually beneficial relationships with Indigenous people, businesses, and communities.

CBOT recently hosted our Member Orientation followed by a Member Appreciation celebration on November 16th! This special event commemorated our 25th anniversary as a Board of Trade and honored our incredible members.

Community Dialogue Surrounding Homelessness

November 17th showcased an incredible community collaboration! CBOT, Clarington businesses, Durham Regional Police Service, Durham Social Services, and government representatives, including Mayor Adrian Foster, came together for a purposeful discussion. The focus was on approaching homelessness in Clarington with compassion and enhancing safety in employment areas through the identification of criminal activity.
