CBRL news April 2020
Welcome to our April newsletter.

We hope that you and your loved ones are keeping well during this uncertain time. As our two institutes continue to be closed to the public, in lieu of the public events that we regularly hold, we are delighted to announce a programme of online Levant-focused events starting in May , more details below.

To keep you engaged with research on the Levant during this time, a number of Contemporary Levant articles relevant to COVID have been made available as open-access as well as the latest issue of Levant. Our new issue of the CBRL Bulletin is now available online and don't forget that we have a huge back-catalogue of Podcasts as well as research blog posts and Bulletins from previous years, available on our website.

The open call for our annual 2020 prize for best paper submitted to our peer-reviewed journal, Contemporary Levant is still open. The winning paper will receive a cash prize and their article will be published in the journal later this year. More details about the prize and how to apply are available here.

And finally, there's still one week left for applications to the joint British Academy - Royal Scientific Society Jordan-UK El Hassan bin Talal Research Chair in Sustainability - more details on the role and how to apply can be found here .

We hope you enjoy reading our April news and send warm greetings to you all.
