Votes are just $2 each and all proceeds help CBRR&R dogs. The Top Dog gets their pick of a calendar month for all the world to see. The next 11 vote getters are placed in the best spots by our human calendar team. The covers and any extra photos are chosen by those same humans. Since this is our 25th Anniversary, we are going to highlight as many alumni as possible.

You can also reserve a special day for just $10. Upload a photo to a special birthday, anniversary, gotcha day, or just a random cool day and you will be IN the calendar for all the world to see. Chesapeake Bay Retriever Idaho River Days July 13, 2024

A perfect summer day, organized by our amazing volunteers AJ & Mel in beautiful Southern Idaho.

Photographing the Chesapeake Bay Retriever River Days on Mel's beautiful riverside property was a perfect blend of excitement, camaraderie, and the rugged beauty of the dogs in their element. With five energetic retrievers bounding around, the day was full of action as they splashed into the river to retrieve decoys that were tossed into the current.

The dogs, each with their own distinct personality, raced through the water, tails wagging, and eyes locked on the target, demonstrating the breed's famous work ethic and love for the water.

Between the retrieves, the retrievers would shake off, spraying water droplets in the sun, while their owners laughed and chatted in the warm afternoon air. The setting itself, with its serene riverbank and tall trees, provided a stunning backdrop for candid shots of both the dogs and the people who love them.

What a wonderful way to spend a beautiful summer day.

Chelsea Daisy post-surgery update

Orthopedic surgery was September 5th, 2024!

Update on Chelsea Daisy's surgery!

Your donations made her surgery possible, so we thank each person who has & will donate.

On Friday the 13th, a week after her surgery, she had her first bandage change, and the Orthopedic Veterinarian said her sutures and leg look good.

Chelsea's still got about a month & 1/2 of being in her crate & playpen areas before she'll be able to start romping around again.

Please keep cheering for Chelsea! Thank you all for your continued generosity.

When the call came in of 9 CBR pups in desperate need, hungry and roaming the neighborhood looking for food, our amazing volunteers answered the call.

We wish to extend a huge thank you to Geri and Michon for taking-in these babies, making sure they were in a safe situation, taking care of initial veterinarian care, some good food and lots of love. You gave them a great start readying them for their new families. You ladies are amazing.

Also, thank you to all of you who donated to give the pup's food, crates, beds, toys, vet care, vaccinations and micorchips. We have the best CBRR&R family!

An update on Gabby,

Many thanks to everyone who donated money to help Gabby! I wanted to tell you a little more about her. Gabby is a 5-year-old Chessie girl who lives with her family in New England. She was purchased as a puppy by an uncle and was then passed on to her family when the uncle died of cancer.

Gabby’s mom says this dog is her children’s best friend! She sleeps with her daughter at night and loves snuggling with the children on the couch. Gabby is not a breeding dog but had an unexpected pregnancy. An emergency during labor led to a frightening and

expensive visit to an emergency vet clinic and resulted in the removal of her uterus and the loss of one pup.

Gabby is back home now, recovering and taking care of her remaining puppy. The family has named the puppy Natalie. The mom reports that whenever Gabby has to leave Natalie for a potty or meal break, Gabby will carry the puppy to a family member and place her

in their lap. Gabby has had a follow-up visit to her vet and all looks good. The family is incredibly grateful to still have Gabby in their lives.

North Central - Clark update

Clark’s happy and adjusting well to small city life, tolerates strangers and small dogs (baby steps), and the area parks allow for lots of off leash exercise as he is a very well-mannered/obedient.

Clark did have one short seizure, it was too soon to test if the Phenobarbital level is now within therapeutic range, possibly it wasn’t. But we are making progress; 8 weeks (versus 4-6 weeks) since his previous seizure and no seizure cluster in the following week.

We wish Clark good health and lots of love.
