The Copper and Brass Supply Chain Association

David Goad
CBSCA President
On October 19-20th, the Copper and Brass Supply Chain Association will host the Red Metals Summit in Boston, MA. I hope you will join me and our colleagues from the red metals industry for what will be an informative couple of days.

As with all CBSCA events, there will be several networking opportunities, but... the summit is intended to be more than that. The Red Metals Summit is an opportunity for us to do a deeper dive into the key drivers of business in our industry. Think of this as a business meeting with many of the key players in the copper and brass supply chain. During this two-day event, we will:

  • Listen to Chief Economist Robert Fry’s outlook for the global economy and then follow that up with an attendee roundtable during which we will discuss each of our outlook for next year.

  • We will hear from Adam Estelle, vice president at the Copper Development Association, who will preview sustainability trends and impacts on copper.

  • We’ll also hear from John Gross, metals industry veteran and publisher of The Copper Journal, where we will gain insights into the copper market. We’ll follow these up with a second attendee roundtable to discuss trends in our businesses and to learn from each other how we are navigating these.

  • Come to day one ready to share your market outlook with your colleagues, and come to day two ready to ask questions to better prepare your companies for the future.

We try to keep the Red Metals Summit more accessible and encourage you to invite others from inside your own companies that may not typically attend the convention. The networking, the dialogue and the insights we gain from one another are always worth it.

Hope to see you there!
