Greetings CBSCA colleagues. I hope you are enjoying the holiday season. It was great to see so many of you at the Red Metals Summit in October.
I believe that topics covered by the three speakers at the summit this year were the most on point slate of topics I have ever seen at an association event. We listened to keynote speakers and engaged in a couple of industry round table sessions during which we discussed the opportunities of increased demand and the challenges we face with a shared emphasis on labor shortage implications and strategies. See a recap of the summit below:
At the summit, we also reviewed some of the progress we have made as an association since our convention in April. We have:
Most recently, we have completed work on membership categories, and we are now working on our next convention for the Spring of 2023.
I believe that what we are doing is important work. Copper is economically strategic and providing it efficiently to the marketplace is critical to our future. I believe the Red Metals Summit helps us do that and has become a must attend event for our industry. If you are not able to attend our next summit in the fall, please send someone from your company. These are working meetings and they are well worth the investment.
I wish you all the best for the holidays and New Year.
