We are so grateful to those who have already given to CBST on Giving Tuesday/World AIDS day. Your support has empowered CBST to serve in the AIDS crisis from the start.
In 1982, we organized an education series when there was almost no public HIV/AIDS education. Our members helped found Gay Men’s Health Crisis and the Lambda Legal Defense Fund. In 1986, we established Chevra Bikkur Cholim to help get services and help for the sick, including a free meal night for those who were ill and in need. We stood proud as family of choice for those who had been left to cope alone.
Our program offerings for the AIDS/HIV community continue to this day. We are always here for you.

Rabbi Kleinbaum: "There is holiness everywhere. It's not an issue of 'Where is God?' The question is: Are we able to be aware of holiness that exists wherever we are, even in dark or difficult places?"
This week we also offer a special thank you and send-off for CBST's outgoing Director of Development, Ann Targownik, including remarks from Ann herself.

Gershon Kingsley’s setting of Psalm 86:11-13 is both a powerful statement of gratitude and a tender prayer asking God to direct our steps towards God’s truth. Chosen during Thanksgiving week, we offer this setting to give thanks for the many blessings in our lives, as well as to honor our beloved Director of Development, Ann Targownik, upon her retirement after seven glorious years as CBST’s Director of Development.
