Hearing on Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage
The Diablo Canyon Decommissioning Engagement Panel is holding two public workshops this month to get the community's input on Diablo Canyon Power Plant's spent nuclear fuel storage issues into the future.
On Friday, Feb. 22, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. a workshop will include presentations from PG&E along with regulatory agencies and industry experts.
Then on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. the workshop will focus on comments and concerns about spent fuel storage strategies from the public. For this event, any organization that would like to give a presentation between 15 to 45 minutes can contact the panel at
Also at the Feb. 23 event there will be a public comment period. Questions and comments can also be submitted directly to the Diablo Canyon Decommissioning Engagement Panel.
Both workshops will be held at the Embassy Suites in San Luis Obispo located at 333 Madonna Road and will be live-streamed HERE. Also a video playback will be posted to the Diablo Canyon Decommissioning Engagement Panel website at a later time under the Past Activities tab.

Hearing on Proposed Cave Landing Parkland Improvements
On February 26, the County Parks Department will be holding a hearing on the Department's draft plan for improvements to Cave Landing parkland.  The hearing will be at the PG&E Center on Ontario Road at 6:00 p.m.
