Intent to Return
Cherry Creek Academy will begin offering available slots on Monday, February 4th for the 2019-2020 school year. In order to ensure CCA has an accurate count for the next school year, we ask that you please take the time to complete this  Intent to Return   Form. Please note that if you indicate a child is not returning, this acts as a withdrawal form with an effective date of the last day of school.

Please direct any questions or concerns to Caitlin Sullivan, CCA Registrar, at  [email protected]
Peer Tutoring for Students in K-4 :
Wednesdays from 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.

Peer Tutoring is now available on Wednesday mornings from 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. Tutoring is available on a first come first serve basis for students in grades K-4. Peer Tutoring is being offered by CCA's Peer Helpers. Students can come in for homework help or to work on AR goals.

For Wednesday morning tutoring, please check in with Ms. Sadie at the front desk. We are able to help tutor 3 students per Peer Helper (about 6 students total). Peer Tutoring will be held in the conference rooms in the front office. Students who arrive for Peer Tutoring are expected to stay the entire 30 minutes. Once the student limit is met, any other student present for tutoring will be directed to the gym.

If your child will be attending Peer Tutoring, please have them bring 1-2 AR books, as well as any homework they would like to work on. There will be computers available for students to take AR quizzes.
4th Grade Medieval Festival
On Friday, January 25, 2019, CCA fourth graders celebrated the end of their unit on Medieval studies at the annual fourth grade medieval festival in the CCA gym.

Students enjoyed dressing up in period costumes, jousting, playing games, having their faces painted, and enjoying a feast fit for royalty!

A great time was had by all!
Kindie Kindness
Last week CCA kindergartners ended No Name Calling Week with a fun activity that celebrated friendship and incoorporated CCA's 8 Values: leadership, responsibility, respect, loyalty, integrity, humility, diligence and compassion.
K - 5 Masquerade Ball: Huge Success
On Friday evening, CCA students in grades K - 5 enjoyed an enchanted evening at the annual Masquerade Ball. A huge thanks goes to the CCA PTO for organizing this fun-filled event, and to all the parents who volunteered to make sure our students had a great time.
Celebrating The Cultures of the World
Are you excited about celebrating the different cultures of the world with a fun filled evening of music, dance, food, and activities from various countries? The CCA Multicultural Festival 2019 will be celebrated on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at Cherry Creek High School (Information Center Building). We are looking for volunteers to represent different countries, cultures, or continents; volunteers to help out with the event in general; and CCA students, staff, and parents willing to showcase performances from the various cultures.

CCA Library News
The Library is looking for parents or students willing to display their collections during the year. Themes can vary including antique toys, Star Wars memorabilia or Native American art, just to name a few. Kids have already enjoyed a baseball and a Harry Potter Lego display. All items are kept under lock-and-key and a parent volunteer is also available to help set up. Email Amy Larson , the CCA Librarian for inquiries and details.
The CCA Library needs volunteers that can come in regularly from 1:30 to 4:00 on Wednesdays, or from 2:30 to 4:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. After school hours are also available. The job requires a conscientious person who is detail oriented with a good sense of order. Alphabetizing skills and a knowledge of decimal places is required. When books are not available for shelving, then organizing books on the shelf is always needed.
