Update on Search for New Executive Director
|

The search committee has interviewed 5 candidates and selected 2 finalists for in-person interviews. The recruiter is working with these finalists to get the interviews scheduled before the end of July. Once the logistics are known, an email will go out to the CCA community.
The final interview process will be an open board meeting that members of the CCA community are always welcome to attend.
A special thanks to the search committee and the time they have invested over the summer during this process.

Parents, staff, and students please remember to keep collecting Box Tops all summer. We already have over 600 for the November count! Also, if you could try to cut them as close to the dotted line as you can, that would help us so much. Thank for your support!

I am so excited to join Cherry Creek Academy this year in the 4th grade! I am a Denver transplant from Ann Arbor, Michigan (Go Blue!) I came out West to get my Masters at the University of Denver in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Aesthetic Learning. I completed my undergraduate degree at Denison University in Education and Psychology, where I played field hockey all 4 years. I then took a job in Chicago working for a non-profit in Chicago Public Schools. I spent some time in Armenia to volunteer and develop my Armenian language skills. I am thrilled to join the 4th grade team, excited to get to know everyone, and work together this year.

Finding AR Books Just Got a Little Easier
|
|
|
The BookScanner App makes it easy to find Accelerated Reader books on Apple
iPads and iPhones.
Now your trip to the public library for your AR reading materials can be much more efficient.
The app lets you know if a book has an AR quiz. Just scan the ISBN number on the back. You will also get the
- Reading level (ATOS BL)
- Number of AR points available for taking a quiz
- Quiz number
It will also keep a history on each scanned book for easy reference, which you can delete at any time.
Happy reading!

Greetings CCA Families,
We are wrapping up our first year of Cub Scouts with Pack 222- CCA’s own Cub Scout Pack, and we’ve had a wonderful time. Next year, our program will be expanding in some exciting ways. Family Scouting is a new model being introduced that allows both boys and girls to experience the fun and engaging scouting experience. We often have siblings attending our meetings and participating in our events. Now- these siblings can fully participate! If you have a son or daughter who might want to participate in Cub Scouts this summer or next fall, fill out
this form
and we’ll be in touch!
