October 5th: Service Day; 1/2 Day for Students
Cherry Creek Academy will hold their 8th Annual Service Day on Friday, October 5th.

This is a day our students put our Eagle Character Traits into action by giving to our surrounding communities.

Some students will visit retirement centers, while others will play with young children at local daycare facilities(*). We will also have two 5th Grade classrooms tidy up CCA with Mr. Hoynacki and one 7/8th Grade group will be at the Arapahoe Fairgrounds setting up for the
Harvest Festival.

Tradition will still hold true for our CCA neighbors, as many of them will come home to handmade crafts hanging on their front doors.

We are expecting a great day.

(*)To respect the wishes of the retirement centers and day care centers, if your child is under the weather, please refrain from sending them to school. Thank you!

Ms. Warner is currently pursuing a degree in secondary education with a focus on literature. In her spare time she enjoys reading and exploring her deep love of books.
Dear Parents and Families:

Help your children embark on a quest of self-discovery and learning by attending this year's
Scholastic Book Fair. The fair is full of reading materials that will unlock a thirst for information and imagination in your child. Most importantly, their journey will lead not only to lands of enchantment, but also to a love of reading.

The fair will help you:
  • Develop a private collection of books to keep pace with your child's changing tastes and reading skills.
  • Spark excitement by allowing your children to choose their own reading materials.
  • Add a fresh assortment of books to CCA's school library collection that students use and enjoy everyday.

Make plans to visit the Scholastic Book Fair and be involved in shaping your children's reading habits.

  • Monday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
  • Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Finding Carpools: Schoolpool
Tired of the daily drop off and pick up lines.
We have a solution to cut down on the traffic.
Join Cherry Creek Academy’s Schoolpool program to connect
with other families to drive, walk or bike to school together.

Cherry Creek Academy has partnered with Way to Go to offer this program to our parents as a free service with the goal of reducing traffic congestion and minimizing the stress of getting children to and from school. Rest assured, your information will only be shared with participating Cherry Creek Academy families. No one else will ever see your information, unless you elect to share your information with families at other schools. It’s free and there is no obligation to participate. Schoolpool is a service of Way to Go, a federally funded program of the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG).

Create an account and register your household address or intersection here: To maintain the highest level of privacy and security, this link is the only way for Cherry Creek Academy participants to register

Information is provided for your use only. Cherry Creek Academy and Way to Go do not run background checks, confirm valid driver’s licenses or assess insurance coverage on participants. Potential users are advised to screen participants to their personal satisfaction and check their own insurance coverage for carpooling to ensure that they are covered under these voluntary arrangements. No drivers, vehicles or insurance are provided.

The Schoolpool secure mapping service can be used for trip planning, or emergency trips and is a great resource to meet nearby families for other reasons such as play-dates and baby sitters.

The more families that register, the more likely you are to find good matches.

Contact Way to Go at 303-458-7665 or for assistance.
