The More You Know: Tips from Maverick
Healthy Habits at CCA
The best way to ensure optimal health is to take preventative measures! Below are a few of our favorite tips to make sure all students are happy and healthy.
  • Wash your hands often
  • Eat an array of fruits and veggies every day
  • Get adequate rest
  • Avoid sharing drinks, food, hair accessories, etc.

Many common conditions that students and families face each year , such as colds , stomach ailments , and even lice , can be remedied.

CCA makes a conscious effort each day to provide a clean environment for our students.

For more information or questions, please contact CCA's school nurse, Jayne Bauer .
You must keep children home if their temperature is 100.3° or above without medication.

Please keep sick children home in order to preserve a healthy school environment and prevent the spread of illness.

Tania Hossain
I have lived in Colorado for 20 years with my husband, Azad. My son, Tanzim, graduated CCA in 2015 and my daughter, Simran, attends 6 th grade. I am currently attending Aurora Community College where I am earning my associate’s degree in computer information systems.

In my spare time I like to go out, watch t.v., spend time with my friends and family and cook. I consider myself very fortunate to have a large group of friends in Colorado. They are the most interesting and wonderful people.
Dear Parents and Families:

Help your children embark on a quest of self-discovery and learning by attending this year's
Scholastic Book Fair. The fair is full of reading materials that will unlock a thirst for information and imagination in your child. Most importantly, their journey will lead not only to lands of enchantment, but also to a love of reading.

The fair will help you:
  • Develop a private collection of books to keep pace with your child's changing tastes and reading skills.
  • Spark excitement by allowing your children to choose their own reading materials.
  • Add a fresh assortment of books to CCA's school library collection that students use and enjoy everyday.

Make plans to visit the Scholastic Book Fair and be involved in shaping your children's reading habits.

  • Monday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
  • Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

If you are unable to attend the book fair, you can visit our online fair at
from September 30 through October 15.

I look forward to seeing you and your family at the fair! Remember, all purchases benefit CCA.

Finding Carpools: Schoolpool
Tired of the daily drop off and pick up lines.
We have a solution to cut down on the traffic.
Join Cherry Creek Academy’s Schoolpool program to connect
with other families to drive, walk or bike to school together.

Cherry Creek Academy has partnered with Way to Go to offer this program to our parents as a free service with the goal of reducing traffic congestion and minimizing the stress of getting children to and from school. Rest assured, your information will only be shared with participating Cherry Creek Academy families. No one else will ever see your information, unless you elect to share your information with families at other schools. It’s free and there is no obligation to participate. Schoolpool is a service of Way to Go, a federally funded program of the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG).

Create an account and register your household address or intersection here: To maintain the highest level of privacy and security, this link is the only way for Cherry Creek Academy participants to register

Information is provided for your use only. Cherry Creek Academy and Way to Go do not run background checks, confirm valid driver’s licenses or assess insurance coverage on participants. Potential users are advised to screen participants to their personal satisfaction and check their own insurance coverage for carpooling to ensure that they are covered under these voluntary arrangements. No drivers, vehicles or insurance are provided.

The Schoolpool secure mapping service can be used for trip planning, or emergency trips and is a great resource to meet nearby families for other reasons such as play-dates and baby sitters.

The more families that register, the more likely you are to find good matches.

Contact Way to Go at 303-458-7665 or for assistance.
