Space is Still Available at Many CCAA Member Schools

for the Fall

Do you have a student who is still making plans for the fall semester? Many of our National CCAA member colleges and universities still have space available and are accepting applications for this fall.

You can find information about them on NACAC's Colleges Openings Update list.

Recap: May Virtual Counselor Town Hall

Thank you to all who joined our final virtual counselor town hall session of the school year on Friday, May 19. Our May counselor town hall session featured members of the National CCAA Board of Directors as they addressed timely topics of interest to counselors.

If you were unable to join us last month and are interested in viewing the Zoom recording, you can access it here. The passcode you'll need to access the recording is &q.&8zj7

We will take a summer vacation from hosting town hall sessions and look forward to seeing you in the fall when we resume them.

Annual Catholic Colleges Reception

We will once again be hosting our Annual Catholic Colleges Reception this September in Baltimore. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Our reception has traditionally been a wonderful way to connect with admission representatives from CCAA member institutions, as well as other secondary, independent, community-based, and transfer counselors.

The reception will be held from 7-10 pm on Friday, September 22 at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore. Registration is required - stay tuned for more information this summer and mark your calendars for noon ET on Tuesday, August 15, when registration to attend will open on our website, catholiccollegesonline.org.

National CCAA Featured on College and Career Clarity Podcast

Looking for a new podcast to listen to this summer? Be sure to check out a recent episode of the College and Career Clarity Podcast featuring National CCAA President, Dean Kilgour (Mount Saint Mary's University, Los Angeles), and National CCAA Executive Director, Joyce Masek.

Dean and Joyce joined Lisa Marker-Robbins, founder of LEAP and Flourish Coaching, to discuss who should consider Catholic colleges. Their conversation includes:

  • The differences between secular colleges and Catholic colleges.
  • What sets the student’s experience at a Catholic university apart from other schools.
  • The experience of non-Catholic students attending a Catholic school.
  • What makes each Catholic school a bit different from one another.
  • Advice for students in the process of college admissions.

Listen to their conversation here.

Applications for the Fall 2023 National CCAA Transfer Scholarship are due by Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 11:59 pm PT.

This award is offered annually to current students attending a two-year college or university who will have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring semester and will be attending one of ouNational CCAA member institutions as a transfer student. Award recipients are selected by random drawing and for transfer students entering Fall 2022, we awarded four (4) one-time $1,000 scholarships.

We are pleased to share that for Fall 2023, we have doubled the number of National CCAA Transfer Scholarships and will now be awarding eight (8) one-time $1,000 scholarships!
