CCAH Spring Conference June 20-21, 2022

Dear Members and Friends,


Hotel room reservations and registration has opened for our CCAH spring conference to be held at The Sawyer hotel in Sacramento. We have confirmed David Gasson with MG Housing Strategies, LLC to give us an update on Build Back Better, Affordable Housing Improvement Act, FY 2022-23 Budget Proposal and other federal legislation impacting affordable housing production in 2022-23.


We have also invited Nancee Robles, Executive Director and Anthony Zeto, Deputy Director of TCAC who will give us an update on 9% and 4% bond programs along with an overview of proposed regulatory changes for the balance of 2022.


To cover the other key state housing agencies, we have invited Gustavo Velasquez*, HCD Executive Director and Tiena Johnson Hall* CalHFA Executive Director & Kate Ferguson*, CalHFA Multifamily Director, to provide us an update on their housing finance programs and their expectations for the balance of 2022.

Luncheon Speaker

We have invited the honorable Fiona Ma, California State Treasurer and Chair of CTCAC and CDLAC Committees to be our luncheon speaker regarding key goals and objectives for FY 2022-23.

California State Legislative Update

Tami Miller & Melissa Hyzdu, Political Solutions, and Lisa Engel*, Chief Consultant, Assembly Housing and Community Development Committee, will provide a summary of legislation impacting affordable housing production in 2022-23.


As always, we will have a panel of tax credit equity investor firms and lenders to advise us on what their crystal ball projects relative to pricing and interest rates for the balance of 2022.

Last but not least, we have a Developer Panel to discuss and debate what regulatory and legislative actions are needed to further improve and expand affordable housing production in 2022-23.

Ali Youssefi Scholarship Application

The Ali Youssefi CCAH Scholarship is now accepting applications for 2022. The CCAH Scholarship Fund is providing these scholarships to four deserving residents of CCAH-member affordable housing properties. Click here for more information.


California Council for Affordable Housing (CCAH) is encouraging submission of applications from residents who will be attending Technical / Trade / Vocational schools. If there are qualified submissions, at least two scholarships will be awarded.



Applications must be received by the CCAH office no later than July 15, 2022. It is CCAH's hope that YOU will get the word out to the CCAH member properties ASAP and ask your on-site property management personnel to encourage qualified residents to apply for these scholarships!


This is the 12th year that the CCAH Scholarship Committee has awarded scholarships.
