Focused Collaborative Meetings
This year, CCAoNH powered by Southern New Hampshire Services is offering Virtual Early Childhood Focused Collaborative Meetings for Directors, Administrators, Teachers and other Early Childhood Professionals. These Meetings are group-driven to reflect the participant’s needs and interests and to provide participants with information around the focused topics. In addition, participants will learn about Child Care Aware of NH program updates, essential local and State information along with other professional development opportunities.

Early Childhood Collaborative:
Infant & Toddler Programming and Curriculum
Date: Tuesday, April 6, 2021

This month, participants will partake in a Classroom Management Learn & Share session. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about creating responsive schedules, assisting in transitions and planning staff's roles throughout the day. During this meeting, participants are asked to bring a resource to share with other participants to take back to their programs. Examples may include: successful schedule and transition tips that have worked with your classroom.

Our special guest speaker, Heather Webster, ECMPWT, from Southern New Hampshire Services: Child Care Aware of New Hampshire, will present on NHAEYC; what it is and how we can benefit from their services.

Pyramid Model

Topic: This month, we are pleased to welcome our guest speaker, Melony Williams, Clinical Supervisor at the TLC Family Resource Center in Claremont, NH. Melony will be presenting the training, “Reflecting on Relationships and Social Emotional Learning Within the Pyramid Model”.  During this training we will take a deeper dive into the middle layers of the Pyramid Model and reflect together on the relationships we build with the children we care for and their families. We will talk about the importance of early relationships on all later development and will work on ways to strengthen our connections and also learn ways to pass this information along to families. We will discuss ways to help children develop healthy social and emotional skills while in our programs and will explore ways to nurture and support children who are struggling.

Topic: This month, Denise Martin, Professional Development Specialist with the Bureau of Child Development and Head Start Collaboration (BCDHSC) will provide a presentation on the new database, New Hampshire Connections Information System (NHCIS). She will show us how to access and use the new system and where to find answers to our frequently asked questions.
