CCAoNH, a program of Southern New Hampshire Services is offering virtual Early Childhood Focused Collaborative Meetings for Directors, Administrators, Teachers, and other Early Childhood Professionals. These Meetings are group-driven to reflect the participant’s needs and interests and to provide participants with information about the focused topics. In addition, participants will learn about Child Care Aware of NH program updates, essential local and State information, and other professional development opportunities.

Topic: This month, we are going to explore what it takes to have a cohesive teaching team in the classroom. We are going to watch a video on “Teamwork” from Better Kid Care and then engage in discussion using an informative discussion guide. After this will participate in a fun activity to better understand the point of view for the different teaching roles that can be present in a classroom.

Next, Kelley Hanson, WIC/SFSP Coordinator, Southern NH Services will present WIC Services. Join us for this informative session and we will have information and resources available to pass along to your families.

Amanda Enos will describe ECAP, an apprenticeship training opportunity for individuals in the early childhood field designed to combine classroom instruction and work experience.

Topic: This Month, Melony Williams from TLC Family Resource in Claremont, NH will present the interactive workshop, "Trauma-Informed Teaching". Join this interactive workshop to understand what it means to be "trauma-informed" in the early childhood education field. Take time to reflect on how to support the children and families in your care as well as how to take care of yourself and support your colleagues. Plan to walk away with a greater understanding of adversity and a toolbox of techniques.

This month Behavior Educational Consultant, Professional Development Presenter, and Founder/CEO of Education Advisors LLC, Melissa Davis will be presenting on the topic: "Balancing Social Emotional Needs of Young Children". The ever-growing emotional and behavioral needs in the classroom make it difficult for all students to learn. This professional development talk is designed to look at ways that a classroom teacher can address the Tier 1 and Tier 2 behaviors in the classroom, in a meaningful and productive way. Utilizing a variety of these strategies will make behaviors easier to deal with and create a classroom culture and climate that will promote the success of even some of the most challenging students.

Topic: This Month, Lindsey Parisi, Lead Training & TA Coordinator at CCAoNH will join us to provide training on child-directed learning & and teaching. During this meeting, we will learn about what child-directed learning is, the benefits of this approach for children and caregivers, and how to foster this approach in your classrooms! Participants are asked to bring a resource to share with other participants to take back to their programs. Examples may include some child-directed activities you have done and/or how you foster this approach in your classroom already.

- To register use the “Week View” or Month View” and then choose which session(s) you would like to join. Please note that registration cannot be completed in the “List View”.
- On the day of the meeting, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting as well as the evaluation link.
