Focused Collaborative Meetings
This year, CCAoNH, a program of Southern New Hampshire Services will be offering virtual Early Childhood Focused Collaborative Meetings once more for Directors, Administrators, Teachers, and other Early Childhood Professionals. These Meetings are group-driven to reflect the participant’s needs and interests and to provide participants with information around the focused topics. In addition, participants will learn about Child Care Aware of NH program updates, essential local and State information, and other professional development opportunities.

NAEYC Facilitation

Topic: This month, participants will explore the Code of NAEYC Ethical Conduct and Statement of Commitment. As a group, we will work to share best practices for the continued commitment to ethical conduct and discuss how we value this obligation in our everyday work.

Topic: This month, we will be having Melony Williams, from TLC Family Resources, join us! We will be discussing how we, as childcare providers, can help our families and children in our programs through trauma. Topic: This Month, Liz Scruton, Coordinator of Family Support New Hampshire (FSNH) is joining us to discuss NH's network of Family Resource Centers (FRCs). Learn more about how to connect with your local FRC to help families access Family Strengthening Programming and Services, what FRCs have to offer, and how you can coordinate more with them directly in this introductory session.

Topic: This month, Dee Dee Thurber, ECMPWT, Program Manager from Child Care Aware of NH, a program of Southern New Hampshire Services will be providing the training: Choose Love, A Social and Emotional Learning Program (and a way of life). In this training, you will learn about the Choose Love Movement. She will share the Choose Love story, talk about the programming and implementation, and also share wonderful resources you may use in your childcare program and share with families.

Topic: This month, Andrea Foster, Professional Development Specialist, at the Bureau of Child Development and Head Start Collaboration will be joining us. During this session, Andrea will provide participants with an overview of NH's Quality Recognition Improvement System (QRIS): Granite Steps for Quality (GSQ).

Topic: This month, Annie Censullo, Credentialing Specialist, from the Bureau of Child Development and Head Start Collaboration will be joining us. During this session, participants will review the new changes, updates, and additions to the NH Credentialing System. This Collaborative will provide clarification, and give the participants time to ask questions to the credentialing specialist.

With a Montessori Perspective

Topic: This month, in honor of the approaching festive season, participants will meet for our next Montessori Learn & Share session, entitled "Rituals and Celebrations". Many programs have different viewpoints on these topics, so bring your own practices and ideas and be ready to learn from others.

  • Registration is free and available through the NHCIS Training Tile.
  • Registration closes the day before the collaborative.
  • To register use the “Week View” or Month View” and then choose which session(s) you would like to join. Please note that registration cannot be completed in the “List View”.
  • On the day of the meeting, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting as well as the evaluation link.  
  • Registration is online only and pre-registration is required.
