A Message from Child Care Aware of NH
|
|
Hello Providers,
September is here, and we are already starting to see the cooler days and nights. Before we know it the leaves will be changing color, and fall will be here. Child Care Aware of NH powered by Southern New Hampshire Services is happy to share this edition of the Monthly Minutes with you, as we share the work we have been doing.
As always, Child Care Resource and Referral Outreach Specialists have spent a lot of time maintaining and updating the database with programs that are opened, closed, reopening and the number of vacancies available. They continue to give referrals to families seeking child care and help families with remote learning options.
The Training and TA Specialists are ready to hit the ground running. Last week, we released our 2020-2021 Virtual Annual Training Calendar. The Calendar holds all of the professional development opportunities that CCAoNH is going to offer this year in one convenient place. Check out below for all the different professional development options available to you!
Have you had a chance to complete our 2020 Annual Program Survey? If not, it is not too late, as the Survey will be open until September 15, 2020. Look below for the link and how you could be eligible to participate in the Welcome Fall: Zoom Storytelling with Shawn Middleton. We thank you in advance for completing the Survey!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for everything you do for families and children. We hope that you enjoy this month's edition of Monthly Minutes.

2020 Annual Program Survey
|
|
Child Care Aware of New Hampshire (CCAoNH) powered by Southern New Hampshire Services recently sent out our 2020 Annual Program Survey. The Survey is a tool we use to assist us in assessing current program services and to inform future planning. Therefore, we are seeking input on your experiences with your program receiving referrals, outreach, marketing materials, our website, LiveChat feature, training, TA, consultation and coaching services. Please note, this survey is regarding services provided directly by the Southern NH Services' Child Care Aware of NH program. Thus, we are not seeking feedback on the ECCP or CCRSP process as these are services we partner on; they are services provided through the Bureau of Child Development and Head Start Collaboration. If you have not had an opportunity to complete this year's survey, please take a moment to do so, your thoughts and opinions matter to us! The Survey will be available until Tuesday, September 15, 2020.

|
As a special treat and a thank you, we are offering two story times to kick off the fall with award winning story teller Shawn Middleton. Be one of the 1 st 200 programs to return your 2020 Annual Program Survey and be invited to participate in the Welcome Fall: Zoom

CCAoNH Online Registration Process
|
|
CCAoNH has enacted several measures to our online Zoom trainings to ensure that any potential hacking is minimized.
- The morning of the online Zoom professional development, participants will receive an email with the Zoom URL Code to join the professional development opportunity and the link to the evaluation to complete following the training.
- A reminder email will be sent either one hour before the training or by 4:00 PM the day of the training for evening professional development.
- Notices will be sent to the email that is in the participant's NH Professional Registry.
-
To join the training the participant will click on the Zoom Code. After clicking on the link, the participant will be asked to fill in their name, email, and organization before clicking on the button to enter the meeting. By filling in this information, this will create an online sign in sheet to prove attendance.
- For best viewing and participation in this collaborative, please use a device with a screen, speakers and a camera.
Professional Development Hours will be provided to all those participants who are viewing the webinar live and are registered in the NH Professional Registry. Your training transcript will reflect this within two business days.
For those participants who are viewing the recording of this webinar, please use the Self-Study Sheet found at the top of the Training and Webinars page on our website.
In order to help keep these online Zoom training secure, please do not post the meeting URL on social media or forward the email to other providers. Everyone who is registered will receive an email and pre-registration is required.

-
There is a temporary policy change allowing payment for CCDF-enrolled school-age children at the (authorized) full-time service level. This change is intended to help providers and families address the critical need for care in response to schools’ reopening plans due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Child Care Report: Preparedness
As we look towards cooler temperatures and fall colors, we think about what September will bring to us all. Some things do not change, such as the need to be prepared for the Annual Childcare Immunization report. Even with the emergence of COVID 19, the need to have your students vaccinated is now more important than ever. Remember that the immunization rules for Childcare and School have not changed. Students will need to be up to date with all of their immunizations prior to enrollment.
The Annual Childcare Immunization report will be available for online reporting by mid-October and is due every year by November 15th.
This Annual Childcare Immunization Report is required by New Hampshire State Statute 141-C:20-e, Immunization Reports, which states “Schools and child care agencies, whether public or private, shall make an annual report to the Commissioner relative to the status of immunization of all enrolled students.”
Visit NH Immunization Program's website where you can find the Childcare report, the Childcare Provider Guide to Immunizations, the 2020/21 Childcare Immunization requirements for the State of NH, and the Immunization Tracking Tool to assist with tracking your student’s immunizations from year to year.
Thank you for all you do to make sure NH children and their families and communities are safe from vaccine preventable diseases. As always, if you have any immunization related questions, please contact us at 603-271-4482.
