Body language refers to non-verbal communication through physical behaviors, gestures, posture, facial expressions, and movements. It often conveys emotions, attitudes, and intentions, sometimes more effectively than spoken words.
Studies show that a large portion of communication is non-verbal—experts estimate it accounts for up to 55% of the overall message in face-to-face interactions. The ability to accurately read and interpret non-verbal signals is essential for understanding others' emotions, intentions, and responses in various interactions.

Infant & Toddler Institute Coming to Manchester | |
Join us on Saturday, March 29, 2025, for an inspiring morning focused on the vital role of relationships in early childhood development. This hands-on training will explore how everyday interactions between children and caregivers lay the foundation for growth and learning.
Facilitators Emily Meland and Megan Shahnooshi from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education will introduce the Simple Interactions (SI) Tool — a practical, strengths-based approach to recognizing and supporting meaningful connections in early care settings. Together, we’ll reflect on how to enrich and empower relationships in our work.

Junior Year: Begin volunteering at a childcare center and taking Early College online courses through CCSNH (6 credits).
Senior Year: Complete 6 more Early College credits while gaining 1,000 hours of on-the-job training.
After Graduation Enroll in the CAPHR/DOL ECE Registered Apprenticeship Program
Work a paid job at a childcare center.

Child and Adult Food Program | |
Do you serve meals and snacks to the children at your program? If so, are you participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program? CACFP can cover a portion of the cost of the food that you serve to your kids – up to $8 per day per child! And, it helps you to provide nutritious meals to children and offers educational opportunities and support for you and your program. What You Need to Know About NH Women Infants & Children (WIC) | |
WIC provides free healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and support, and other health services to women, infants, and children up to age 5.
Who is eligible?
- Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding up to one year, or who had a baby in the last 6 months.
- Infants and children up to the age of five, including foster children.

All caregivers are welcome! We talk a lot about moms, but we offer support to anyone –working or not—who cares for a child, including:
