Focused Collaborative Meetings
This year, CCAoNH, a program of Southern New Hampshire Services will be offering virtual Early Childhood Focused Collaborative Meetings once more for Directors, Administrators, Teachers, and other Early Childhood Professionals. These Meetings are group-driven to reflect the participant’s needs and interests and to provide participants with information around the focused topics. In addition, participants will learn about Child Care Aware of NH program updates, essential local and State information, and other professional development opportunities.

Business Management Practices

Topic: This month, Annie Censullo, Credentialing Specialist, from the Bureau of Child Development and Head Start Collaboration will be joining us. During this session, participants will review the new changes, updates, and additions to the NH Credentialing System. This Collaborative will provide clarification, and give the participants time to ask questions to the credentialing specialist.

Topic: This month, participants will partake in a Child Directed learning Learn & Share session. During this meeting, we will learn about what this approach is, the benefits of this approach for children and caregivers, and how to foster this approach in your classrooms! Participants are asked to bring a resource to share with other participants to take back to their programs. Examples may include some child-directed activities you have done and/or how you foster this approach in your classroom already.

Topic: This month, Dee Dee Thurber, ECMPWT, Program Manager from Child Care Aware of NH, a program of Southern New Hampshire Services will be providing the training: Choose Love, A Social and Emotional Learning Program (and a way of life). In this training, you will learn about the Choose Love Movement. She will share the Choose Love story, talk about the programming and implementation, and also share wonderful resources you may use in your childcare program and share with families.

Topic: This month, participants will discuss concepts of the NAEYC Advancing Equity Position Statement. As a group, we will walk through how to use this document to influence your relationships and communications with families.

Topic: This Month, Diane Manning, T.E.A.C.H. NH Counselor, and Amanda Enos, ECAP and T.E.A.C.H. Support Coordinator will be providing information on how early childhood teachers can earn their CDA or even an Associate Degree for FREE! Topic: DCYF Point of Contact from SAU 6 in Claremont NH will be providing the training: "Understanding Homelessness and Its Impact on Children and Families".  This training will aid teachers and administrators in identifying and helping provide resources to families in need.

Topic: Advocacy for beginners. Advocacy really starts with our story. Why did you become part of the Early Childhood world? If someone were to approach you and ask that question what would your response be? Do you have your elevator speech ready? Join Dellie Champagne from Save the Children Action Network (SCAN) and learn about how to make your voice heard.

Topic: This month Lindsey Parisi, Infant & Toddler Specialist at CCAoNH will share her tips and tricks to navigate your classroom through the different routines, challenges and periods of the school year.

  • Registration is free and available through the NHCIS Training Tile.
  • Registration closes the day before the collaborative.
  • To register use the “Week View” or Month View” and then choose which session(s) you would like to join. Please note that registration cannot be completed in the “List View”.
  • On the day of the meeting, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting as well as the evaluation link.  
  • Registration is online only and pre-registration is required.
