Focused Collaborative Meetings
CCAoNH, a program of Southern New Hampshire Services is offering virtual Early Childhood Focused Collaborative Meetings for Directors, Administrators, Teachers, and other Early Childhood Professionals. These Meetings are group-driven to reflect the participant’s needs and interests and to provide participants with information about the focused topics. In addition, participants will learn about Child Care Aware of NH program updates, essential local and State information, and other professional development opportunities.

Exploring Topics for the Year!

Topic: This month, we will be reviewing our topics for the year and how the collaborative will run during the year. We will also discuss the importance of schedules and helpful tips for settling in with your new classroom and children! We are going to explore what responsive scheduling and routines look like when working with infants and toddlers and how they can be beneficial for our youngest learners!

We will review the 2023 - 2024 Trainings at a Glance and Spotlight on Professional Development. We will also check out the new E-Newsletters focused on content for specific age groups! And finally, we will check out the NH-Connections Website for all the new content as it pertains to the needs of this Focused Collaborative. Come prepared to share ideas about what you would like to gain from the Family Child Care Collaborative.
Social Emotional Topics Collaborative
Mindfulness with Meg Vyas
Date: Monday, September 18, 2023

Topic: This month, join Meg Vyas to learn about how Social Emotional Learning and Mindfulness can work together to build more emotionally aware and resilient children. You will learn concepts about the core competencies of SEL, like self-management and self-awareness, and mindfulness for children. There will also be practical exercises taught that you can start including in your daily teaching with children. Another benefit of teaching mindfulness with children is how it gives the staff an opportunity to take a pause too. Hope to see you online, wearing comfortable clothing and get ready to learn some new tools for your toolbox.

  • Registration is free and available through the NHCIS Training Tile.
  • Registration closes the day before the collaborative.
  • To register use the “Week View” or Month View” and then choose which session(s) you would like to join. Please note that registration cannot be completed in the “List View”.
  • On the day of the meeting, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting as well as the evaluation link.  
  • Registration is online only and pre-registration is required.
