CCB Leadership Transition

We wanted to make you aware of a leadership transition that has taken place at Catholic Charities Bloomington. Michael Stribling resigned his position as Clinical Director in September. We wish Michael the absolute best and pray for his success in his next venture. Michael’s gentle leadership and compassion for his clients and co-workers

will be missed.

Dennis Craig has been appointed the Interim Clinical Director. He has been a therapist with Catholic Charities Bloomington since 2016. Dennis will work closely with Catholic Charities leadership to address all aspects of agency operation, including financial and communications oversight, until a new director is hired. We remain dedicated to our mission of providing professional and affordable mental health services for all. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this transition.

Annual Benefit Luncheon a

Great Success

Thank you again to all who joined us for our Mental Health Wellness Annual Benefit Luncheon on September 20 at Ivy Tech Bloomington. It was great to see so many familiar and new faces at the event. We enjoyed sharing information about the mental health techniques we offer and highlighting all the great things the agency is doing. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and supporters, we were able to raise over $23,000 which allows us to continue providing vital mental health services for those in need in our community.

40th Anniversary Fun Fact

In celebration of our 40th anniversary, we are going to look back at some key moments in CCB’s history. In January 2005, the agency’s name was changed from Catholic Social Services to Catholic Charities Bloomington based on the rethinking of social services in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.

Qualified Charitable Distributions

Do you own an IRA? Are you 70 ½ or older? Maximize your giving impact and personal tax benefits at the same time! Consider supporting your favorite parish, school, or agency through an IRA qualified charitable distribution (QCD) gift.

For those eligible, this is often the most tax-advantageous way to charitably give each year, even if you don’t itemize:

  • Tax-free giving – directly from your IRA to your favorite Church ministries (up to $100,000/year)
  • Count towards RMD - satisfy your required minimum distribution for the year (for those 73+)
  • Lower taxable income – even if you don’t itemize deductions, as QCDs don’t count as income
  • Planned giving - conducive to annual giving all-at-once or strategically throughout the year

Learn more at www.archindy.org/IRAdonation or call (317) 236-1482 for questions or help. Please contact your IRA custodian for any specific forms/steps they may require.
