Illinois Governor Announces Support for CCB Degrees to Strengthen State's Workforce

The CCBA joins Illinois Community College Trustees Association in celebrating Governor JB Pritzkers recent proposal to allow the state’s community colleges to offer bachelor’s degrees!


Calling the IL community college system the “jewel” of the state’s education system, Pritzker noted that CCBs can offer students pursing careers in high-demand, workforce-driven fields the flexibility and affordability they need to succeed while also benefiting the state.


Once approved by the legislature, Illinois will become the 25th state in the nation to be granted approval to confer CCBs. READ MORE...
