An update from our friends at the Craft Council of BC:

Coming up tomorrow (Wednesday, May 20th) at 3pm EDT on Zoom, Raine McKay, Executive Director of CCBC, will be participating in a webinar organized by the Art Gallery of York University in Toronto. Titled " Cultural Policies meet Pandemic Follies: The CERB and Independent Artists ", the panel will be moderated by AGYU's Assistant Curator, Michael Miranda. Raine will join three other panellists: Jessa Aglio from ArtsPond/Ilostmygig.ca, Kelly Hill from Hill Strategies, and scholar/activist Konstantin Kilibarda. The panel will focus on the difficulties in bridging the emergency programming developed in the wake of the pandemic with the realities of individual arts practice. Also of interest: the Alberta Craft Council is hosting a webinar on Monday, May 25th with artist and art therapist, Allison Tunis. This program is open to members and non-members. Titled " Craft As Therapy " you can register for the event  here .
