It has been an honor to serve as the Executive Director of the CCC Foundation. Thank you for the opportunity to partner and engage with you to reduce financial barriers for CCC students and help them achieve their goals. On August 30, I will begin a new chapter as an Assistant Professor of Practice for Sustainable Seafood Processing at the Oregon State University Seafood Research and Education Center.
I am proud of the amazing growth the Foundation has achieved over the last 4+ years and the expansion of the Foundation fund capacity to serve not only the scholarship and various program funding needs of students, but emergency and basic needs as well.
The success of the Magic Opportunity Fund that originated from the record-breaking fundraising success of the 2022 Be Part of the Magic annual event is a collaborative triumph between the college and Foundation that continues to help recipients complete their educational goals with an ~80% rate compared to ~60% for those who did not receive!!
CCC has repeatedly demonstrated resiliency and continues to provide transformative change to students by inspiring learning, creating opportunities, and enriching lives through the power of education. During the 65+ years of CCC’s existence, the grit and dedication of the students who are served through our efforts remains a constant. I believe this to be the glue and inspiration for the CCC community and am grateful for my part to help provide students with the tools and resources they need to succeed.
In community,
Angee Hunt
