Many thanks to Hannah Maisberger, Olivia Corey, and Zoë Helmke, our 2023 summer interns. Hannah, Olivia, and Zoë served selflessly all summer to ensure that our campers and volunteers had great experiences on Holy Ground.

Staff Shortage and Volunteer Support Needed

Our amazing housekeeper, Cindy Madison, recently had shoulder surgery and is not able to work. Additionally, our Interim Manager, Ryan Wilkerson's last day is September 15th. We desperately need your help while Cindy is on the mend and while we search for a new director.

How you can help: Please sign up for a shift by clicking here to help us reset Lodge rooms. We need volunteers to help with light housekeeping (i.e., making beds, vacuuming, etc.). The CCC staff will take care of cleaning showers and sinks. You can come as an individual or bring a friend or your family along with you.

All supplies and training will be provided for you. No prior knowledge of housekeeping is required.

COWLAND Update

We have begun clearing land and planning our new low ropes and team-building course called Cowland. Cowland is situated behind the swimming pool, about 100 yards in the woods. It is accessible on foot or by a camp vehicle.

Why "Cowland?" The CCC has a long history of campers playing team building and bonding games, which have been known as Cow Games. Cowland will host permanent low ropes activities for our camps to use, and for outside groups to rent. The first of several stages should be complete by summer 2024.

Holy Ground?

The CCC staff and volunteers are always working hard on upgrades and upkeep around the facility. We hope you'll stop by to see our more recent improvements in person! (Just make sure you call first.) Or better yet, volunteer your time and energy to help keep the place shining!

Commercial-grade couches for cabins and Lodge ($2500 per set, 4 needed)
Air compressor ($350, 1 needed)
Entry rugs ($110 each, 2 needed)
Umbrella with base for lifeguards ($500 each, 2 needed)
Large coffee mugs for the dining hall ($6 each, 15 needed)

Boatwright Boathouse Update

The Boatwright Boathouse will be taking shape soon. Below you can see an artistic rendering of what the structure will look like. The Boathouse project will add shade, seating, rain shelter, boat storage, and disability access to the beach. We are very excited to break ground and hopefully celebrate completion before next year's camp season.
