Updates from the Christian Conference Center in Newton, Iowa

Interim Co-Directors

October 1, Jerry and Linda Wolf became the Interim Co-Directors of Christian Conference Center. They have a background in teaching, service and mission leadership, and working with volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and more recently right here at CCC since 2013.

Jerry and Linda's daughters and grandchildren were campers and counselors at Camp, Jerry and Linda have brought their youth group here on retreat in years past. Right now they have moved in and hit the ground running in preparation for groups and events on campus.

With God's help Jerry and Linda will continue to have the stamina and good health to continue serving on Holy Ground and with Disciples Together for some time ahead. Please come see them and join together in activities and dreams for Holy Ground!

Thank You Volunteers!

Many thanks to the numerous individuals who have stepped up to help with all sorts of maintenance and housekeeping tasks since Greg and Cindy both had surgeries. We are happy to see Greg back with us as much as he can be as he is healing, and we miss Cindy as she has determined that she can not return to service in housekeeping at CCC.

We appreciate each one who comes to help as Disciples Together to get done what needs to be done when it needs to be done. We could never do it all without you!

Staff Shortage and Volunteer Support are still Needed

How you can help: Please sign up for a shift by clicking here to help us reset Lodge rooms. We need volunteers to help with light housekeeping (i.e., making beds, vacuuming, etc.). The CCC staff will take care of cleaning showers and sinks. You can come as an individual or bring a friend or your family along with you. Or give us a call at 641-792-1266

All supplies and training will be provided for you. No prior knowledge of housekeeping is required.

WINTERIZATION WORK DAY

Work projects will begin at 9:00 and continue into the afternoon

Large Equipment winterized
Buildings prepared for winter
Mini-Golf, life jackets, and other outdoor games/activities stored for winter
Indoor cleaning & storage projects
Blow leaves out from under decks and prep grounds for winter
