Dear Contract Cities Family,
Thank you for making our Annual Municipal Seminar a rousing success! Over 400 people attended our conference in Indian Wells to demonstrate this year’s theme: Strength Through Collaboration.
It was especially heartwarming to see Past President Mark Waronek savor the last moments of his presidency and demonstrate his passion and dedication to the continued success of our organization. It was wonderful to reconnect with colleagues in person again and to welcome our new President, Jeff Wood from Lakewood. Jeff started with a bang, literally as TNT lit up the sky with fireworks on the eve of his installation. We are excited for what his year brings as he’s already set to kick off the year with our newest member city, City of San Jacinto. Not to mention, the commitment from the City of Fontana and interest from the City of Hawthorne and City of Torrance.
As our organization continues to grow, CCCA’s presence will be more visible across county lines as you saw at the conference. The Los Angeles County Sheriff, Los Angeles County Fire Chief, Riverside County Assistant Sheriff and Riverside County Fire Chief all exhibited their support by participating as panelists at the conference. Don’t be surprised if you see more agencies represented at our Fall Educational Seminar!
I’m grateful for your unwavering support and can assure you that our board and staff are eager to serve the needs of our growing organization. Please join me in welcoming Jeff Wood as our new President and kicking off this new year with your ongoing support.
