THANK YOU GOOGLESERVE

Thank you to the GoogleServe volunteers! GoogleServe is a month-long campaign to empower Googlers to volunteer in their communities.

Google Logistics Analytics Specialist Stacey Nduati coordinated GoogleServe volunteers across North America to write letters of support to Moving for the Cure participants. Stacey shared that supporting the CCF’s work is incredibly close to her heart, as her father passed from the disease in 2017.

Thank you, Stacey, and your team of volunteers for offering encouragement and appreciation!

Stacey with her father, Nduati Kigondu.

TeamCCF UPDATE

Delorean Ostrom has completed seven marathons for his fundraiser, Racing for Hope.

His eighth marathon is in his hometown of Suwanee, Georgia on August 7th.

Keep following Delorean at Racing for Hope.

Jonathan Whiting was able to swim partially across the English Channel on Thursday, July 28th. After 9.5 hours and completing 12.5 miles, Jonathan's coaches made the difficult decision to stop the swim for his safety. Jonathan is incredibly thankful to be given the chance. There were many delays, bad weather, and a stolen phone but he completed his mission; he honored his late wife, Lori, raised money, and spread CCA awareness. During a recent call, he said he could not have done it without the support of the cholangio community. Your words of encouragement got him through the delays from his originally scheduled swim on July 22nd. We are so proud of Jonathan.

MOVING FOR THE CURE

The 3rd Annual Moving for the Cure was amazing. We had 450 participants and raised over $52,000. Thank you to all who supported and participated in TeamCCF's athletic, fundraising campaign.

The 5th Annual “Michelle’s Hot Peeps Beat CC” 5k Run/Walk is Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Murphy Park in Taylor, Texas. John McDonald created this event in 2018 in memory of his wife, Michelle McDonald, who passed away at age 47 following a five-month battle with cholangiocarcinoma. Michelle used fitness as an outlet and was very passionate about health and wellness for herself and her family. John and Michelle’s family and friends view this event as a time to celebrate life, togetherness, and fun for the whole family.

Kona Ice will provide free snow cones and the MC Music Machine will provide music and entertainment. You can sign up to participate virtually or in-person by clicking HERE.
