Each support group is individually tailored for those of us who need extra support in specific areas of our lives. Here at FSO, all of our facilitators have lived experience and have been hand-picked to run these support groups based on their knowledge and life journeys. What you will gain from attending these groups is far more than knowledge. It's a community of people coming together to share their resources, thoughts, and make connections. Reminding us that we are not alone in anything that we go through. Support Groups are held via zoom and in person! There is no pressure to participate. Just come and listen to see how you feel! There will always be something to take away from each session! Please register with a group facilitator!
" As a parent, I have gained even more experience with the judicial system. When all of my children went off on their own, I knew I still had work to do. Working with parents and providing support for them and their families is the best part of my job, because I was once a parent needing support. Helping parents navigate the juvenile justice system and even sometimes just lending an ear is truly my passion."
- Georgette Maslanik
CCFSO Team Member Highlight for August
Georgette has been a part of our FSO family for nearly 3 years now. She grew up in Camden and was in foster care as a child. As an adult, she knew she wanted to help families and decided to be a foster parent. She was amazingly able to foster 46 children, 5 of which she adopted. Georgette has a passion for assisting families in need of guidance through the Juvenile Justice System!
"Sometimes, we just need someone to be there for us. Not to fix anything or do anything in particular, simply so that we can feel we are supported and cared for during the hard times."
CCFSO is taking part in a wonderful event this year with Mary's Fund! Please read the letter for more information. Golf balls and tickets can be purchased at here!
