Get Help & Support

If you’re in emotional distress or suicidal crisis, find help in your area.

If it’s an emergency, call 911. You can also go to your nearest emergency room. A medical professional can give information about your particular circumstances.

If you believe that someone else is in danger of suicide and you have their contact information, contact your local law enforcement for immediate help. You can also encourage the person to contact suicide prevention hotline at 988 (call or text).

When you’re in crisis, research suggests that it may be helpful to reach out to others. When you connect with others, it can help you feel supported and give you a sense of belonging.

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text) Call or text 988 to get help.

Lauren Vance, Risk Management.

Past Events

MLK Day of Service

On MLK Day, volunteers came together to honor Dr. King’s legacy by caring for our community. On Friday, January 16, KCBC hosted a tree planting at Shirley Winston Park in partnership with Tree Columbus. Then on Monday, January 20, KCBC partnered with Turn Around Columbus for the 9th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Outdoor Learning Trail Cleanup.

Thank you to every volunteer and sponsor who made these efforts possible. Together, we are building a cleaner, greener, more beautiful Columbus.

2025 Governor’s Circle Award

KCBC was honored to receive the 2025 Governor’s Circle Award from the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta.

This prestigious award recognizes outstanding achievements in community beautification, litter reduction, waste minimization, and environmental stewardship across the state.

Arbor Day Proclamation

KCBC was honored to attend the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, where we proudly received the official Arbor Day Proclamation from Mayor Skip Henderson.

Caught Green-Handed

Keep Columbus Beautiful is proud to recognize individuals making a difference in our community. Our “Caught Green-Handed” spotlight honors CCG employees and citizens who lead by example through recycling, reducing waste, and practicing sustainable habits. From sorting recyclables to organizing cleanups, their everyday actions create a lasting impact. Know someone making a difference? Let us know and help us celebrate those keeping Columbus clean and beautiful.
