August Newsletter 2026

Summer is officially in full swing, bringing vacations, family gatherings, outdoor adventures, and plenty of exciting activities! With so much happening, it's easy for important details to slip through the cracks.

As a friendly reminder, please let CCI, Inc. know if any of your contact information has changed.

This includes your:

  • Home address
  • Phone number
  • Email address

Keeping your information up to date ensures we can stay connected with you, share important updates, and provide the best possible support.

Another important reminder: Your Direct Support Professional (DSP) should be with you at all times while they are clocked in and providing services. If your DSP is not with you, they should not be clocked in.

Your health, safety, and well-being are our highest priorities. If you ever have questions, concerns, or feel that services are not being provided appropriately, please let us know. We are here to support you and ensure you receive the quality services you deserve.

If you need to report changes to your contact information or have any concerns, please contact Callie Kresser at ccicasemanager@gmail.com.

We wish you a safe, fun, and memorable rest of the summer!

QA Corner

On August 11 at 10am, the CCI Standing Committee will hold the quarterly meeting on Zoom. The Standing Committee is made up of two CCI Administrators, one person receiving services, and one family member. Each quarter, the committee reviews any incidents, grievances, and policy changes, to ensure that CCI upholds the rights of everyone we support!  Please contact Laurie Lyons if you would like to attend -- cciqamanager@gmail.com

Do you know what Presumed Competence is?  How about Dignity of Risk?

We all learn and grow from our experiences, and sometimes from our mistakes! Often, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are over-protected in an effort to keep them safe. However, this can mean that people may lose learning opportunities, or there are automatic assumptions that someone can't do something they have never even tried! Watch these short videos and learn more about these important concepts.

How To Report a Grievance

Did you know we offer Discovery for Employment Services?

Discovery (Milestones 1–3) is a short-term, person-centered service, typically completed within 90 days designed to identify your strengths, interests, and ideal work environment. Each milestone is completed and documented as an individual step, ensuring a clear and personalized path forward. Let us help you find the job that truly fits you.
