CCI Hurricane Helene Mobilization

Hurricane Helene made landfall near Perry Florida late Thursday night as a major Category 4 hurricane. Helene continues its deadly onslaught across the Southeast as Atlanta sees its first-ever Flash Flood Emergency. It is clear that there will be a great need for volunteer support as communities impacted by this devastating storm move towards recovery.

CCI volunteers and supporters have always been the driving force behind our disaster response. Once again, your involvement is essential to make our mission successful.

There are two primary ways you can help.

Send a Volunteer Team

The chaos created by this storm makes it challenging to manage and deploy volunteer teams. For over 20 years, CCI has collaborated with disaster relief agencies and deployed thousands of volunteers, so we know how to efficiently put volunteer teams to work where they are needed most. CCI staff is in the process of determining which communities are in greatest need of our volunteer support.

CCI provides all food, lodging, tools, safety equipment, project materials, and project coordination allowing your volunteer team to focus on helping families impacted by the storm.

We have already recruited over 100 volunteers who have committed a full week of their lives to do the hard work of restoring hurricane damaged homes. Please consider organizing and sending a volunteer team.
