Weekly Prayer Requests

Greetings!

Thank you for your investment in praying for the ministry of CCI. 

Here are this week's prayer requests.
INDONESIA
Please pray for a qualified person to become a coordinator in West Sulawesi. Pray that God will raise up the right person to oversee personnel, resources, programs, and projects within this area to ensure that CCI’s mission happens. And that he shepherds the teachers regarding vision, ministry expansion, encouragement, training, and accountability for personal and spiritual life growth.
PHILIPPINES
Please continue to pray for those in Bohol hit by Super Typhoon Odette on December 16. Many churches and homes were damaged, and currently, there is no electricity on Bohol. The government said it would take several months before power is restored in a limited capacity to the whole island. Not only are they without electricity, but they also do not have water. Most homes receive water from pumps that require electricity. With only a few water-purifying stores, they cannot keep up with the demand of thousands of 5-gallon water bottles being filled 24/7. Pray for the victims to receive comfort and that the Lord will provide them with food, shelter, and all their necessities.
When Typhoon Nitang hit Bohol in 1984, CCI started a chainsaw ministry. They purchased several STIHL chainsaws and had a team of five men who would go to a town and stay for several days. During the day, they cut trees into 2x4s, 2x6s and then donated the lumber to the community to rebuild homes. During the evening, the team would share the Gospel with the families of the community. This ministry opened the door to start several Bible studies that resulted in new local churches. Pray that we can restart the chainsaw ministry to help with the current reconstruction needs.
VIETNAM
Pastor Y Hanh’s family may move to Pleiku city – central Highland. Please pray for wisdom, provision, and that his decision aligns with God's plans for him and his family.

Two classes have completed all books, but they could not graduate due to the epidemic. Pray that they can hold a graduation ceremony after Christmas to celebrate their dedication and hard work.

TESTIMONY
"My name is Thao. My first words are to thank Pastor Y Hanh and Hien for the teaching seminar on Love & Biblical Dating.

I learned how to find a godly man, build a relationship, and deal with the differences between men and women. Praise God for this seminar that teaches us many things never taught in the church.

There are a lot of “DON’TS” without explaining the “whys” from our pastors. This seminar freed us from the dos and don'ts. In addition, many sensitive issues were discussed, which helped us gain background knowledge. We are more confident in reaching out to friends of the opposite sex.

Another good lesson is spiritual guidance. This seminar helped us get close to God and learn to listen to His guidance in our life. I wish that more young people from different churches would attend this seminar. Once again, I would like to thank God and the pastors who are working very hard to pray for and teach us. May God bless you all."
