With the new school year fast-approaching, this back-to-school guide will help you and your student prepare for a new year in Clear Creek ISD. Campuses reopened beginning this week to assist parents with the back-to-school process. A reminder that the first day of school for incoming Pre-K, Early Childhood Special Education, Kindergarten, 6th and 9th grade students is Monday, August 16. All other grade levels will return on Tuesday, August 17.

Back-to-School Forms
Now Open
Beginning Sunday, August 1, all parents will log in to their Skyward Family Access Account to complete the required forms and upload proof of residency documents. You will see “Back to School Forms” on the left side of the page. If you need assistance or do not have access to the internet, please contact your child’s campus.

Residency Affidavits
If needed for address or guardianship purposes
Beginning Monday, August 2, all residency affidavits will be accepted in person, by appointment, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at CCISD's Central Support Facility at 2145 West NASA Blvd., Webster, Texas 77598. Appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday. The completed original affidavit, including all attachments, must be turned in for approval.

2021-22 COVID-19 Protocols
The Clear Creek Independent School District will open and operate schools in the 2021-2022 school year with the activities and routines that are synonymous with Clear Creek ISD including but not limited to full use of classroom supplies and labs, campus performances, classroom celebrations, holiday lunches, etc. In accordance with Governor Greg Abbott’s Executive Order issued on May 18, 2021, face coverings will not be required in any CCISD facility.
Clear Creak ISD, with the assistance of the 2021-2022 School Opening Committee, identified instructional, operational and health practices from the 2020-2021 school year that should be added to the blank slate of pre-pandemic practices. Click here to view the 2021-2022 Return to School Plan.
CCISD has also established a health monitoring system which may require the district to implement certain health mitigation measures in stages dependent upon comprehensive data.

Cleaning Procedures and PPE |
- Teachers will have access to district-provided hand sanitizer, alcohol wipes and cleaning supplies.
- Frequent cleaning of high-touch areas, including restrooms and cafeterias, will occur throughout the school day by CCISD custodial staff.
- Alcohol-based hand sanitizing stations will be located throughout all buildings, in common areas and on school buses.
- Each campus will be cleaned nightly.
- In the event of an active COVID-19 positive case, CCISD will conduct a deep cleaning of the affected area(s) in accordance with CDC guidelines.
- Face coverings will be available for use.
- Employees in need of a workplace accommodation must contact CCISD Human Resources.

Attendance and Exemptions |
- CCISD will regularly communicate the importance of staying home if ill.
- Parents may utilize Skyward Family Access Center to report an absence. Parents may call the campus or send in a doctor’s note to receive an excused absence for illnesses.
- Absenteeism reports will be shared with the school nurse for health monitoring purposes.
- Perfect attendance awards will not be presented, and attendance criteria will not be used for exam exemptions.
- Students absent due to COVID-19 symptoms should remain home and follow CDC guidelines and CCISD illness protocols. Students will be allowed to make up assignments in accordance with CCISD grading guidelines.

Positive COVID-19 Cases and Contact Tracing
- As required, the Clear Creek Independent School District will report any known COVID-19 cases to the local health authority.
- Parents may elect to keep their student home from school in the event of a positive COVID-19 case in their child’s classroom(s). The absence will be excused with a note from a parent/guardian.
- CCISD will activate its Contact Tracing System as indicted in “Stage 2” of the Health Mitigation Protocols. Otherwise, CCISD will assist local health authorities in any contact tracing efforts as requested.
- Students and staff members who have been fully vaccinated will not be required to quarantine if exposed to a person with COVID-19 and remain asymptomatic.
- Students or staff members who contract COVID-19 should follow local health guidelines and/or doctor’s orders.
- CCISD will communicate COVID-19 active cases daily through email and the District website. A separate classroom notification will be sent to parents in the event a student or staff member tests positive for COVID-19.

Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration
It's not too late to enroll in Pre-K and Kindergarten for this school year. Clear Creek ISD offers free, full-day early learning programs for those who qualify, as well as a tuition-based Pre-K program for residents who live within the CCISD boundaries. Follow the steps on this page to review qualifications and apply today.

New Student Enrollment
All new students to Clear Creek ISD will need to complete a New Student Online Enrollment (NSOE) form. Campuses will reopen on Monday, August 2, to help with this process. High School students can contact your zoned campus to set up an appointment to complete registration and select courses.

CCISD has adopted a district dress code. The dress code for each school is posted on the campus website. Click here to view the district dress code.
It is up to the campus on whether or note they allow students to utilize lockers. Please be on the lookout for emails from your principal with more information.

Transportation
Need to find your bus stop? CCISD’s school bus finder is now updated with bus stops for each level. Bus drivers will not allow Pre-K or Kindergarten students off at the bus stop unless a parent or designated adult is present. Pre-K and Kindergarten students will receive an identification card from the school. It is recommended that you take a photograph of the card and keep the image on your phone.

District experts will host a set of back-to-school livestream sessions on August 9 and August 13 covering a variety of topics to help parents prepare for the new school year. The episodes will be streamed live on the CCISD website and Facebook page.

New Volunteer Application
Opens August 2, 2021
For the 2021-22 school year, CCISD has implemented Raptor, an improved visitor and volunteer management system. In order to volunteer on a CCISD campus this year, all new and returning volunteers must complete the new online application and successfully pass a criminal history check to be eligible. The new system will allow volunteers to create a profile, track volunteer hours, view and sign up for volunteer needs, and communicate with other volunteers and the campus.
