A key part of the mission of the Saint Leo University Center for Catholic-Jewish Studies is to provide students and members of the community with the opportunity to study and engage in dialogue with Judaism and the Jewish people. Indeed, for over 25 years, the CCJS has sought to build bridges of understanding between members of different religious traditions, and all people of good will.
For this reason, Maureen and Douglas Cohn have generously established the Maureen and Douglas Cohn Visiting Chair in Jewish Thought and Assistant Director of the CCJS. For decades, the Cohns have advanced the mission of the CCJS with their extraordinary generosity and constant enthusiasm for deepening Catholic-Jewish relations. The Cohn Visiting Chair in Jewish Thought is a two-year, full-time faculty position in the CCJS that provides students, faculty, and members of the community with direct and regular access to a scholar of Jewish thought.
Saint Leo University and the CCJS invite scholars to apply for the Cohn Visiting Chair in Jewish Thought and Assistant Director of the CCJS. Details about this position and how to apply can be found by clicking the button below. Review of applications will begin on March 16th, 2025, and continue until the position is filled. Questions can be directed to Dr. Matthew Tapie, Associate Professor of Theology and Director of the CCJS: matthew.tapie@saintleo.edu
