"Do you suffer from Self Improvementitis?"

This is something I spent years struggling with and looking outside myself to find what would make me better. To believe in self-improvement, you must first believe there is something wrong with you that needs improving.
When you believe you are flawed, the natural reaction is to want to fix it, find the "missing thing," what's the magic formula, looking for answers, thinking that happiness and meaning are "out there." If there was an external "fix" for life - there would be no sad, stressed out or depressed rich people.
Here's my message today: Nothing outside of you can solve your problems. The good news is that you were born with all the resources you need to be happy, wealthy, and successful.
Maybe you've heard that before, and it can be hard to believe when you feel in lack, or lonely, or depressed. When you can't pay your bills, or you hate your job, or in pain.
But the breakthrough can happen in an instant. There's a flash of inspiration - and suddenly you are CLEAR, you're taking action and things start to happen without effort.
I truly believe that when you are on your path, life seems effortless. That doesn't mean it's easy, you still have to take care of business. But solutions fall into place rather than you having to suffer all the time.
And when your life changes overnight, it's not because you suddenly "improved" yourself. No, it's an internal shift. It happens when you "align" yourself with Spirit.
It's the moment when your conscious desires line up with your natural unconscious/ subconscious power to belive - and any conflicts and counter-intentions you had instantly dissolve.
There's a release of power that sends energy up and down your body and you KNOW something has shifted. That's the power of "alignment with Spirit."
Remember, you are already perfect. Trying to "improve" you would be like trying to improve the sunrise. The cure for the "disease" of self-improvement is to realize you already have everything you need inside to be happy and successful. All it takes is to get your two minds in alignment for the magic to happen.

I had just one of those days. It seemed like everyone I knew was angry, frustrated, jobless, broke, sick, worried about politics, had just received a very difficult evaluation from a medical professional, or was needing ministerial counseling, and they called me! Like they didn't know I wasn't doing well?
