Steele Pop Expo will take place on Saturday, May 17, 11am-4pm! As part of the festivities, we would like to create and distribute a special zine (small publication) for the event. If you are interested in contributing something to the zine, we are accepting submissions of all-ages-friendly pop/geek-culture content, including: comics, art, short stories (including fanfiction), and articles. Submissions can be emailed to steelepopexpo@gmail.com or dropped off at Steele Memorial Library in an envelope or folder, labeled "Steele Pop Expo Zine". A committee will review and select submissions for inclusion. | |

Our virtual programs start with a bang as Genealogist Jeanette Sheliga teaches her favorite class, "Navigating the Fulton History Website", on Tuesday, March 4 at 6pm on Zoom. On Thursday, March 6, we have a very special documentary screening on Zoom of "Abandoned, the Untold Story of the Orphans Asylums" with a live Q&A with the filmmaker after the showing. The take & make this month is a beaded pipe cleaner shamrock. Preschool Playtime: Monday mornings at 10:00am. Storytimes: Tuesdays at 6:00pm & Fridays at 10:00am. The Hard Reads video game group now meets Tuesday afternoons from 3:00 – 5:00pm. All skill levels are welcome to attend and play fighting game classics such as Marvel vs Capcom, Guilty Gear, and Street Fighter. Registration is not required.

On March 12, 4:00pm, teens can join us for popcorn and a showing of the movie "The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim" (2024) (PG-13). Set 183 years before the events chronicled in the original trilogy of films, "The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim" tells the fate of the House of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary King of Rohan.
Teens are also welcome to stop by for Lego Club and Crafts.
