Vaccine News:
At present time, the Florida Department of Health in Collier County does not have the COVID-19 vaccine.
DOH Lee County is currently in the process of their first stage of vaccination to healthcare workers, as well as to the public ages 65+.
Physicians who have hospital privileges should contact their respective medical staff offices for information on getting vaccinated.
For physicians without hospital privileges, when DOH Collier receives the vaccine, their plan will be similar to DOH Lee County: healthcare workers must take their ID badge or paystub, etc. to the vaccination site to identify themselves as healthcare workers. Vaccinations will be given along with those aged 65+ on a first come, first served basis. However, DOH Collier plans to also have one day for healthcare workers only, by appointment, for those who are seeing patients on the days public sites are open for vaccination.
