It's Time for Valentine's Care Packages
It's time for Valentine's Care Packages for our college and military kids. More than ever, this is a great time to show that Christ Church is thinking about them, and that God loves them!
You can help
  • We need your help reaching Church families with students away at school or the military. If you know of any 2021 graduates, or church family in the military, send us a note with their information.
  • Donate store bought food, individually wrapped. Gum, candy, chips, granola bars, fruit snacks, cookies, brownies, hot cocoa, (2 dozen of any item)
  • Contact Kim or Ginny to arrange a drop off, or you can drop off to the Church office.
  • If you prefer to make a monetary donation, send a check to Kim Rutherford 28 Lincoln Street Dedham MA 02026 or Venmo @Kim-Rutherford-9 (this is helpful as we will purchase snacks and pay for postage)
  • Valentines Cards. Are there kids out there that would like to make some cards? A few home made cards will be sent with each care package.
  • We are collecting until February 7th.
We appreciate the support!

Ginny Yerardi (617-285-4914)

Epiphany Party - Date and Time Change
Join us immediately after Church on Sunday, January 30 for a special short Epiphany Party! There will be Epiphany-focused crafts and activities, ending with a speedy prayer service. In the spirit of Epiphany, we invite you to bring a gift for Baby Jesus, in the form of a book for Storytime Crafts, an organization collecting books for underserved children, newly relocated to Christ Church. Learn more about them here. We will party in the Upper Parish Hall and close in the main sanctuary. This will be fun for any age, 3 to 83! So do bring the whole family. Masks will be mandatory the entire time, and there will be no eating, to make it safe for everyone.

"Circles of Caring" Now Forming
Do you like making phone calls? Do you long to connect with other members of the community? Are you looking for a way to engage in ministry at Christ Church without having to leave the comfort of your home? If so, we invite you to consider joining our new “Circles of Caring” ministry. The goal of this ministry is to ensure that every member of the Christ Church community receives regular check-ins from the parish, if desired. Calls will be made quarterly by a ministry team member to a small group of (no more than 10) parishioners. This team will meet periodically for training, support and to communicate any needs from the parish to the Pastoral Response Ministry (PRM) team for follow up. If this sounds like a ministry for you, or if you have any questions, please let Nick now by emailing him at nick@ccneedham.org.
Coffee-less Coffee Hour resumes This Sunday
In an effort to keep us safer and healthier, in consultation with the Wardens and the Regathering Team, we are pausing the usual coffee hour until further notice. Food and drink will not be offered.

Those who are worshipping in-person are welcome to meet in the UPH for a time of informal conversation. Please remain masked and physically distanced from other households.

For those who worship online, please join virtual coffee hour about 5 minutes after service ends. Click here for the Zoom login.
Live-streaming Technical Difficulties
Our apologies for the technical difficulties as we train new Digital Vergers (DV). In the future, out of consideration for those who are in the building, we will start the worship on time, while our DVs troubleshoot the problem. We will try to send an email with a status update, but will absolutely post status updates on Facebook. Thank you for your patience.

Past services, including services that encountered technical difficulties, are on our Youtube Channel.

Thank you, Christ Church Family!
It has been my honor and pleasure to serve Christ Church for 23 years. Nick and the office staff: Ali, Woody, Liz, Maryann B. and Charles are the most amazing team! This past Sunday, January 9, 2022 was the culmination of the joys I have experienced getting to know you, dear parishioners. Beautiful flowers and sentiments from my beloved Choir, Mark, MaryAnn and Lisa (who recited her lovely “Pam” poem) touched me. More surprises at coffee hour!

I was humbled by Nick’s speech. Thank you for the accolades and best wishes. Thank you, everyone, for the generous purse! Oh, my! I will save that for something special to remember my years with you. The framed photograph of the Sanctuary is gorgeous and now hangs in my living room where I will think of you when I admire it. “The Ark” formation of the church is such a sacred space. You all gave me such a wonderful send-off for my retirement! We have shared many moments through the years that will forever nestle in my heart.

Wishing you peace and love,
Pam
