We are honored to welcome The Rev. Canon Jean Baptiste Ntagengwa, Th.D., Canon for Immigration & Multicultural Ministries, as the guest preacher and presider for worship on Sunday, October 10. Please note that there is only one service on 10/10 at 10 a.m. we will not hold the 8:15 a.m.

Ntagengwa spent his early years in Rwanda, where much of his extended family still lives. He holds a certificate in accounting and economics from the Ecole d’Economie et de Commerce de Janja, in Ruhengeri, Rwanda, and a Bachelor of Divinity degree from St. Paul’s United Theological College in Limuru, Kenya. He was ordained to the priesthood in the Anglican diocese of Embu, Kenya. Read the rest of his bio here.

Men of Christ Church returned to Cuttyhunk for our 16th annual retreat after missing 2020 due to COVID. Thanks be to God for the peace and beauty of our island home, and for the opportunity to grow in God’s grace in the presence of one another! How good it is for brothers to dwell in unity! (Psalm 133)

Concert after the 10am worship this Sunday, October 3
|
This Sunday, October 3, our favorite flute-guitar duo, Bruce Goody and Jonathan Moretz, will share their music ministry with us at the 10am service. After the Postlude, grab a snack in Upper Parish Hall and return to the Sanctuary for a 30-minute preview of their upcoming November 14 concert. Be the first to hear their newest, spectacular songs!
On November 14 at 3pm Bruce and Jonathan will perform a full concert at the Carter Memorial United Methodist Church, Needham.

They offer a wide variety of music from Classical to modern as well as from around the world. Cuba, Spain, Italy, France, South America, and Ireland are represented. An Irish piece, "abhainn", is composed by Lea Peterson, who will be in the audience to cheer them on. This is a free concert and open to the public. Handicap access.

Indigenous Peoples' Day Service

Join an online service for the diocesan community for Indigenous Peoples' Day, Monday, Oct. 11, at 4 p.m. via Zoom. Registration required.
