MESSAGE FROM SUPERINTENDENT MICHAEL P. WEST
As we enter Spring of 2021, it is natural to reflect on what has happened this past year. We have experienced challenges nobody could have predicted just over a year ago. Whether you work in a classroom, in an office, or are a parent, or community member, everyone in Colusa County has learned and practiced new, creative yet challenging ways of staying healthy and connected with each other. I continue to be impressed with the whole-hearted, innovative, and hard-working members of this community. Despite the pandemic, Colusa County has continued to provide resources to our families. In fact, these resources have flourished. A special thank you to the CCOE staff for their unwavering dedication this past year. Thank you also to the Colusa County Health and Human Services for their on-going communication - most currently during COVID-19 vaccine implementation.
- Michael P. West - Colusa County Superintendent of Schools

PARENTING TIP from SPECIAL EDUCATION
Make sure you are modeling behaviors you want to see in your children. Plan times where you have an opportunity to model skills like waiting patiently at the store or being respectful when you disagree with someone. Also, find and schedule more time with your kids. With everything going on, our kids have more stress and can benefit from just spending more time with family.
