Spotlight on Special Activities

Storytime at the Chevy Chase Community Library Each month, our Three Year Old and PreK student enjoy an outing in our neighborhood. They walk as a group to the library to enjoy interactive storytime and music with the talented children's librarians there. We appreciate our parent volunteers who help make the fun three block walk safe. It's a real joy to be located near the US Post Office at Valentine's Day and in such a pedestrian-friendly corridor.

Our PreK students also enjoy monthly field trips to many other exciting destinations including upcoming trips to the Rock Creek Planetarium, the Montgomery County Recycling Center, the National Gallery of Art, and the College Park Aviation Museum. Exploring our wider community and world helps us grow in many important ways.

CCPC Nursery School is Nut-Free  All food that is brought to school for classroom snacks, lunches, cooking, or art projects MUST BE nut-free and not manufactured in a facility that processes nuts. Please read product labels carefully. CCPC Nursery School is a nut free environment to keep all children in our care safe. REMEMBER TO SEND BOOTS PLEASE! Outdoor play is an essential part of every school day (unless we have severe weather). Please dress your child appropriately so they are comfortable.
