Dear Parents,
Love and friendship were definitely in the air this month as the children celebrated Valentine's Day at school and parents gathered virtually for our first-ever Zoom auction. Maintaining our community's traditions and routines is more important than ever right now.
Spring is hopefully around the corner, but...snow has also been in the air! Remember that we can now follow DCPS following their return to in-person hybrid learning. If DCPS delays 2 hours, we will open one hour late at 10am. You will receive an email by 7:30am with any closure or delay notification.
Good news! A majority of teachers (82%) are now in the pipe line and have received their first dose of the vaccine. I look forward to all staff being all the way through the process and an increased sense of lowered risk in our building. All health and safety protocols will continue as before unless and until new guidance is issued by the DC government.
Feeling pandemic fatigue? You are not alone! I feel optimistic that fresh springtime breezes, more time outdoors, and better Covid numbers in our community are all on the horizon. Hang in there--CCPC families are resilient and strong!
