February was a short but busy month! CCPC was filled with love, laughter, and many exciting community events. Our Playtime Project service project was a huge success! Thanks to your generosity, we collected and donated essential items to underserved families in our community. It’s always inspiring to see our preschool families come together to support those in need.

This month, I enjoyed accompanying the Salamanders class on a walk to the post office. Many other classes also walked to the post office and sent mail to those they love! These walks are a wonderful opportunity for children to explore our neighborhood, observe their surroundings, and engage in real-world learning experiences. Watching their curiosity as they mailed letters and discovered new places was a highlight!

I look forward to seeing you all at the next amazing CCPC community event, the Annual Auction! Don't miss out and purchase your tickets today!

Love in Action

Our Woodland and Creekside classes participated in a super successful service event in support of Playtime Project. We filled over 78 bags with toys, art supplies, and personal care items! We also donated extra supplies and items for the organization to keep in their Care Closet. The bags were distributed at the Playtime Valentine's Day celebrations within their sites in DC and PG county.

Thank You, Generous Parents,

for purchasing ALL of our Amazon wish list supplies for

78 love bags!

We were so happy to send some CCPC love to Playtime Project children while giving our CCPC children an opportunity to embrace our core values of Kindness and Community.

Playtime Project appreciates the continued partnership with CCPC! They are a small, but mighty organization and rely on donations like ours to support their programming. There are many ways to donate and volunteer throughout the year.

Brightwheel App

It’s important to download the Brightwheel app to stay connected with CCPC and receive timely text updates about school events, reminders, and important announcements. Most importantly, the app ensures you receive emergency alerts for severe weather, unexpected closures, or other urgent situations, so you stay informed and prepared. Having Brightwheel allows us to communicate quickly and efficiently, giving families peace of mind that they will receive critical information when it matters most.

The Importance of Outdoor Play

Outdoor play is vital to children's development. At CCPC, we pride ourselves on encouraging exploration and discovery. We venture out in the winter months and bundle up to ensure that children have the opportunity to continue their gross-motor and large-muscle development.

Please remember to dress warmly every day!

Director Page will only send notifications when there is indoor play due to frigid temperatures!

Don't worry, the cold will not last forever, and warmer days are coming soon!

A Visit from the Dentist

It was so fun to have Dr. Rouchon in the house!

CCPC's own Dr. Philippe Rouchon brought a furry friend and lots of engaging interactive materials to talk to the Creekside, Woodland, and Duck classes about caring for their teeth.

A Visit from the Colgate 13

What amazing voices the Colgate 13 men's acapella group have! Our Creekside, Woodland and Duck classes thoroughly enjoyed a special performance by the 15 members of the Colgate 13, whose rich blend of baritone, tenor, and lead vocals created a powerful and beautifully balanced sound. From upbeat, energetic numbers to heartfelt ballads, their versatility, precision, and seamless harmonies were captivating. The children truly loved every adlib! Vroom Vroom!

Thank you to the Richardson family for sharing this wonderful treat from Colgate University with us!

CCPC Alumni Spotlight

CCPC student connections last into college and beyond! CCPC alumni, Clara Attar (daughter of Ducks Teacher Debbie Attar), Lexi Ossi (daughter of School Administrator Amy Ossi), and our very own Assistant Teacher Walsh Young were together 16 years later at a sorority formal at Washington and Lee University in February.
