January 2026

Greetings!

Thank you, CCPC Families, for weathering the storm with us! While January certainly brought its challenges, we continued to feel incredibly supported by the warmth, flexibility, and encouragement of our amazing community.

Prior to the historic weather event, CCPC was buzzing with energy, laughter, and learning; and that joyful spirit never left us. Even through schedule changes and unexpected closures, your patience and partnership helped keep our community strong and connected.

We were especially grateful to come together for moments of joy, like The Great Zucchini's visit and his magical show! Seeing the children laugh, wonder, and fully delight in the magic was a bright highlight for all of us and a wonderful reminder of the joy that fills our school.

As we move forward, we are excited to return to our regular rhythms and look ahead to the many opportunities for learning and connection. Thank you for continuing to walk alongside us and for being such an essential part of the CCPC family.

CCPC Supports The Playtime Project

The Playtime Project supports children experiencing family homelessness by providing and expanding access to transformative play experiences.

On February 6th, our Woodland and Creekside classes will assemble family "Love Bags” to be distributed at Valentine's Day parties at various Playtime Project locations in DC and PG County.

These bags will provide Valentine's Day goodies and activities that are designed specifically for families to foster playtime skills like problem solving, social emotional learning, and maybe most critically, optimism.

Within just a few days of our request for supplies, our powerful CCPC parent community has purchased every item on the Amazon wishlist. Thank you for opening your hearts to this project!

We are so happy to send some CCPC love out to children and families in our community.
