Greetings!
Spring has certainly sprung and the children are loving the beautiful cherry blossoms (and coming soon dogwoods and red buds) and our newly imagined dry creek bed. At CCPC, we believe in creating nature-inspired spaces that offer challenge for gross motor skill development (think balance and climbing) and also for appropriate risk taking/challenges that explore and extend our capabilities. Staff recently had an interactive meeting about our "Yes Zone" for outdoor play and are working together to allow safe risky play geared to meet each individual child where they are. From now until the end of the year, the playground is an especially magical zone for fun and friendship as the children problem solve and collaborate in an endless variety of ways. It is a thrill to witness!
Director Search
I invite all parents to join a Listening Session with the church personnel committee as they seek input in the search process. Please join if you can on Tuesday, April 25 beginning at 8:45am in Geneva Hall (above the Big Room). Drop in and stay as long as your schedule allows.
Big shoutout to our PreK teachers who led another fantastic Space Unit! The spaceship was amazing, thanks to our parent builders. Our Planetarium field trip at the Rock Creek Nature Center was both fun and informative. Thanks to all our parents drivers for your help.
I wish all of our families a beautiful Passover and Easter this week and a restful Spring Break mid-month. I am savoring every day at CCPC this spring. Thanks for all your support.
