Welcome Spring! 🌸

As the days grow longer and hopefully warmer, we welcome the arrival of spring with open arms! This month was filled with flowers blooming and enjoyment of bright colors throughout the halls.

Also, this month Creekside, Woodland, and the Ducks had a visit from one of our own CCPC parents, Dr. Rouchon! Dr. Rouchon, who practices dentistry, paid a visit to our preschool to educate our little ones about the importance of healthy teeth habits.

I blasted off into outer space with Creekside as they began their astronaut in-training unit! We took a field trip to the Rock Creek Park Planetarium where we learned about the constellations and imagined life on other planets. Creekside embarked on a cosmic adventure that ignited their imagination and curiosity. Thank you to all the carpool parents for making this trip out of this world!

Auction Thank You!
Thanks to the tireless efforts of our amazing auction chairs, Brie & Lisa, along with the dedicated auction committee, we have just experienced the most well attended auction in CCPC history! Brie & Lisa's leadership and dedication have been truly inspiring, mobilizing our committee to achieve unprecedented success. Huge appreciation to our auctioneer, Bennett Richardson whose charisma and enthusiasm helped us reach new heights at Junction.

A heartfelt thank you to our Sponsor Families whose generosity and support have played a crucial role in making this auction such a resounding success. We cannot express enough gratitude to everyone who contributed their time, resources, and energy to make this auction a reality. What does the PreK Program look like at CCPC? How are the two classes different? What is the CCPC philosophy about Kindergarten readiness? How will I know what's best for my child? There are so many questions and so much to learn as your children begin their PreK learning.

Join Creekside teachers Tricia Fredley and Jennifer Purvis, Director Nicole Page, and Assistant Director Ami Bawa as they explain the CCPC play-based curriculum as it relates to PreK.

All parents are welcome!

This event is great for current Woodland and Blue Sky Families as they think about their future classes at CCPC!

Play-Based Learning: What Does it Look Like?
Here are some play activities our teachers use that you can use at home.

Spread a layer of shaving cream on a table or tray.
Children can use their fingers or small brushes to write letters, shapes, or words in the shaving cream.
Pre-Literacy

Provide puppets, felt storyboards, or props related to a favorite story.
Encourage children to retell the story using the props, incorporating their own words and creativity.
New Laundry Center
We're excited to share some recent news with you all! Thanks to your generous contributions and support, we've been able to make an important upgrade within our community.

We're thrilled to announce that we have replaced the washer and dryer on the 3rd floor! This upgrade will not only improve the laundry convenience for our staff but also enhance the overall functionality of our facilities. Now, doing laundry will be a breeze!
