Greetings!
So very thankful for not only for your children, but our families and, of course, our amazing teachers! CCPC is such a connected and strong community. I love how many drop-off conversations go on between teachers and parents and outside among parents,...such strong evidence of the friendships and connections we all feel at CCPC. As I watched the cooking and preparation for Thanksgiving, I appreciate how intentional our teachers have been in planting the important seeds of gratitude and joy in our classroom community. And, as always, our vibrant art reflects the creativity and energy of tireless artists at work each morning!
Best wishes for safe travel and meaningful time with family and friends near and far throughout this holiday season. Enjoy!
With gratitude for everyone at CCPC,

"Big Body Play" - the sometimes rowdy, always very physical running, rolling, tagging, jumping, grabbing, and wrestling that most children love and many adults try to shut down - can and should be an integral part of every early childhood setting.

Consultants’ Corner:
What is Self-Regulation?
Parents and educators often ask how they can help their young children develop self-control, pay attention, and follow directions at home and in the classroom. First, what is self-regulation? It is simply a child’s ability to attend to a task or situation with appropriate body control and awareness. This includes everything from sitting to eat a meal or playing with toys with peers to calming themselves when upset, or calming to fall asleep... Read more

The Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church
and Assistant Director of Music
Bobb Robinson
invite the Woodlands and Creekside children to participate in
The 2022 Christmas Pageant
Rehearsal Saturday, December 17
10:00am - 12:00pm
Performance Sunday, December 18
at the 10:00am Worship Service
in the CCPC Sanctuary
4 year-olds and Pre-K kids are invited to be manger animals (stuffed animals happily included!) and do not need to come to the dress rehearsal. Manger animals should arrive on the day of the pageant at 9:15am to Chadsey Hall, the fellowship space directly below the church sanctuary, to select a costume. Once dressed, animals sit with their family in a pew and come forward when called to the front during the 10am service. If your child would like to join the Angel Choir to sing "Away in the Manger" and "Angels We have Heard on High", please plan to come to the dress rehearsal if you can.
Please contact Assistant Music Director Bobb Robinson ASAP to let him know your interest and availability
